A little bit about me

With a background in teaching and a lifelong curiosity about creativity, technology, and existence itself, I have always been passionate about exploring new ideas and sharing insights. My journey as a writer began as a young boy with a desire to understand the world better, leading me to eventually start writing my upcoming books.

I wrote my first books back in First Class, around the age of 7. These have been lost to time, but perhaps one day I might revisit those ideas and see what my adult brain could make of my 7-year-old brain’s ideas.

I entered the world of primary school teaching in 2009 and have been there ever since. Throughout this time, I explored numerous creative outlets until I realised that I should have paid more attention to younger me and stuck with writing. Teaching gives me a valuable insight into the wonderful world of children, which inspires my love of writing stories for them.

It would be difficult to believe if I claimed that the main character in “Lessons in Absence” was a teacher by chance. Of course I write from what I know. Every character has an element of my personality in them.

The Eternal Journey is my attempt to explore what the soul is, what it means, and what comes next.

The Broccoli Factory is my first, but not last, attempt to write a book for children. I take the idea of hating broccoli and put a humorous (I hope) twist on it.

When I’m not teaching or writing, I’m spending time with my wife and three daughters. When I’m not doing any of that, you can find me taking part in my local parkrun either as volunteer or runner.
